Being a Novella, Treasure Island is a quick read and much of the book sets the stage for the beginning of what could be an all-out Zombie apocalypse. Without the benefit of modern communication technology, the Pirate Protagonists' have no idea what awaits them when it's time to dock. All they can do is fight their way through hoards of the walking dead, try to get back on their ship and sail to England in hopes that the virus hasn't spread there... little do they know...!

This was an easy read and a great, quick fix for zombie fans like me. Fans of Phillip Tomasso's books will notice a much different writing style as compared to his other books, Including the Vaccination series. This isn't a bad thing as I thoroughly enjoyed the story, style and genre mash up. Tomasso's writing style is maturing and I am looking forward to picking up his next novel.

In a delightfully macabre continuation of Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island, Tomasso has brought new life - or rather, death - to characters more than one-hundred and thirty years old. This novella picks up on the Hispaniola's journey home with Long John Silver, Jim Hawkins, and Dr. Livesey; oblivious to the plague ravaging their homeland and taking their families with it.

Eat your heart out Stevenson, before one of Tomasso's undead does it for you. Treasure Island A Zombie Novella is a short, one-sitting read that will make you both nostalgic for your childhood and feed your need for the undead. Quite a paradox, and an experience I utterly enjoyed.
Philip Tomasso is an amazing writer, he just gets it and knows how to keep you coming back for more. His Zombie novels are the bomb!!!
VERY SHORT, my fault for not reading description with page count. Story sub par and ended just as it got good and not what I expected out of Tomasso, his other books are great! This really should have never been printed and should be a .99 cent e-book.
Phillip Tomasso puts a fun twist to the traditional story of Treasure Island. I have never read Treasure Island, but I can honestly say I like this version better. Why? Because it has zombies! Can you see Long John Silver fighting zombies? Well, in this book he does, and he does it well.
This is a great story I know young adults and adults alike will love. The tale is told of pirates who encounter zombies. The story tells the tale from shipboard with the pirates and from a small town where loved ones of the shipmated live. Unfortunately neither group is immune when it comes to zombies. I found this to be a great adventure and a fun read.
A great retelling of an old classic. I've read a lot of zombie fiction and I really enjoyed this fresh take on the genre and this classic pirate tell. Exciting and gore filled this was an enjoyable read. The pace of the story was fast and you cared about the characters. I recommend this to zombie fans,pirate fans, Robert Louis Stevenson fans, heck fans of a good story. One of the best zombie mash ups yet!
I've been a huge fan of Phillip Tomasso's work for quite some time. His subjects are varied and his books are always worth the read. Treasure Island A Zombie Novella is the story of Treasure Island--with a twist. The characters on the ship are true to the original and Tomasso brings them to life once again; it's when they hit land that the real trouble starts! I recommend this book to anyone who's game for a terrific new spin on a classic tale!
